About
Riyan Al Fajri is a public officer at Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance with more than a decade in government internal audit. He joined the Inspectorate General in 2014, held data roles at Inspectorate VI, and served as Personal Assistant to the Inspector General, over seven years earning the trust of four Inspectors General. Since 2023 he has worked as an auditor (Auditor Ahli Pertama), focusing on performance reviews, building Integrity Zones (Zona Integritas) and organisational transformation.
Trained in accounting at STAN and Universitas Bakrie, he later turned to law. As an LPDP–AAS 2024 Scholar he pursued a Master of Laws at UNSW Sydney, where he represented the university’s Global Sponsored Students. His research covers corporate and commercial law, international and tax law, law reform and sustainable development.
He has kept a blog since 2010, now Bukan Aktivis (“not an activist”), writing on public finance, anti-corruption, faith, climate and family life. He is also an executive member of the Institute for Wisdom and Public Policy at Muhammadiyah South Tangerang.
